3 Classic Mardi Gras Drinks Made Healthy With Superfoods

If you’re planning on celebrating Mardi Gras with some classic New Orleans cocktails, but are worried about calories and sugar… you’ve come to the right place! We’ve created our own versions of these fancy cocktails that include just the right amount of sweet and a whole lot of immune-boosting, disease-fighting, vitamin-rich delicious AWESOME.

So if you’re ready to kick off Mardi Gras day with a refreshing beverage, or want to finish off the night with something tasty and good for you, take your pick from the three recipes below!

#1. Green Hurricane

Fruit, citrus, carbonation, minty green juice. Serve in a hurricane glass and you’ll be set to weather any storm!

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup passion fruit juice
  • 1 tbsp mango juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice
  • ½ scoop Organifi green juice
  • ½ cup club soda/seltzer
  • 1 cup ice

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Cover and shake until chilled. Serve immediately.

#2. Pimm’s Grandmother’s Mocktail

A popular concoction founded in New Orleans, Pimm’s Cup is cool and delightful. We’ve put a twist on Pimm’s original recipe and made it more “family friendly,” but no less delicious.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tsp sukrin, stevia or raw honey  
  • 1 cup club soda/seltzer
  • 1 tbsp pineapple juice
  • Dash of Organifi green juice
  • Ice

Instructions: Fill a tall glass with ice. Squeeze lemon juice straight into glass, then top with sweetener, club soda, pineapple juice and organifi.  

#3. Ramos Green Fiz

The traditional frothy New Orlean’s drink with a few tweeks.  

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cup ice
  • ½ scoop Organifi
  • 2 oz half-and-half
  • ½ oz fresh squeezed lemon juice (about ½ lemon)
  • ½ oz fresh squeezed lime juice (about ½ lime)
  • 2 tsp sukrin or stevia
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 dash vanilla extract
  • 1-2 oz club soda

Instructions: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then top will all ingredients except club soda. Shake vigorously. Then shake vigorously again. Strain into a cocktail glass and add club soda.
