Are you ready to jump into a 7-day green smoothie challenge? You should be! Whole foods smoothies are the next step in your wellness transformation journey.
Why?
Green smoothies are a time-effective way to get in a ton of micronutrients and macronutrients in a way that is easy for your body to digest and absorb. They are also easy to prepare in advance so that on busy mornings you can just throw a prepped smoothie bag in the blender and then be on your way.
In addition to the fact that they are a straightforward and effective way to increase your fruit and vegetable intake per day - something that most people in America could use help with - smoothies preserve fiber, vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals that are essential for body reset processes.
Our bodies are constantly trying to repair themselves; they have a survival code written into them that’s both self-regulating and resetting.
If you find yourself a little sluggish in the afternoon, have irregular bowel movements or have more than the occasional glass of wine (no judgment!) a green smoothie challenge can be the easiest way to reboot your system - and can complement a bigger full body reset, if you want to embark on one.
Help your liver, adrenal glands, kidneys, gut, and blood get rid of all the things that are no longer serving you - which will more than likely also help you shed a few unwanted pounds!
I talk in depth about the benefits a green smoothie challenge can have when it comes to detoxing your body in this short video. Plus, I take you through a three-ingredient smoothie to cleanse your kidneys.
If you’re ready to commit to one week of protein-rich, organic, healthy and delicious smoothies, you’re in the right place!

#5 Friday: Vanilla Superfood Smoothie
There is nothing like throwing together vanilla protein powder, some nut butter, a banana, and almond milk. This is one of my absolute favorite smoothies and is especially energizing because of the medium-chain fatty acids in the scoop of coconut oil. This tastes just like a milkshake (the nut butter and coconut mask the spinach taste) and is going to power you through the first day of the weekend.
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 scoop Organifi Complete Protein
- 1 tbsp nut butter (I prefer almond or cashew)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 cup pineapple
- 1 handful of spinach or kale
- Handful of ice
Instructions: Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
A green smoothie challenge that includes a milkshake smoothie? YES! And you’re still getting all these incredible health benefits that boost your immune system, help your organs detox your body, and feel good about yourself!
You’re claiming your health! Great work!

- Handful of kale
- ½ frozen banana

How a Smoothie Challenge Helps Reset your Body
I’m a big proponent of green juice, whether alone or mixed into a smoothie; leafy greens are loaded with vital phytonutrients that help oxygenate your blood and nourish your body. However, I won’t deny that some people find it hard to get into the habit of juicing or drinking smoothies, that’s why I have designed multiple strategies to help you get in the groove and ease into this lifestyle.
There are so many health benefits! A green smoothie challenge (even when not all the drinks are green) is just one tool to cleanse and energize your system.
Not ready for a seven-day green smoothie challenge? Try a three day smoothie challenge instead!
Why? Well, it...
- Can help enhance nutrient absorption by simplifying the digestion process
- May boost energy, because of that simplified nutrient absorption
- May help balance your gut. Smoothies use the whole fruit or vegetable, keeping the fiber that helps neutralize bacteria in your gut and promote healthy digestion and bowel movements
- Aids your immune system giving you more vitamins and minerals that help you build stronger defenses
- May help your body reset by injecting those vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients into the bloodstream, which stimulate the adrenal glands and help your liver, kidneys and intestines flush out toxins
- Reduces sugar intake! As your body cleanses from excess sugar, your cravings go down, helping you control your diet and weight better.
Why wouldn’t you try a green smoothie challenge knowing all that? Start today and let me know how it went!
